Founded in 1961, in the city of São João da Boa Vista / SP, Elfusa is today the largest company of Latin America in the Fused Aluminum Oxides sector.
Since November of 1976 the company became a part of the Curimbaba Group,a family-controlled holding constituted by Oxicur Participações S/A and Alopar Comércio e Participações S/A.
Besides Elfusa, the group is also composed in Brazil by the following companies: Mineração Curimbaba Ltda., Olga S.A Indústria e Comércio, Empresa de Transportes Alcace Ltda; Tarumã Agropecuária e Florestal Ltda, Espigão Ltda e Yoorin Fertilizantes.
The Curimbaba Group also has international activities through the following companies: SintexMinerals & Services, Inc, SintexMineralsInternational, U.S Minerals; ElectroAbrasives, in the United States of America ; and Sublime, In South Africa.
Currently, Elfusa occupies a total area of 745.000m² (8.019.113, 26 ft²), equipped with 27 Higgins Furnaces and an electric substation that produces 55MV/year. Is the owner of the ISO 9001 certificate, which guarantees the quality of their products, processes, and management methods.
Elfusa and its related companies in Brazil, employ more than 2.000 workers , generating at least 5.000 indirect jobs in the country.
The company produces a vast line of Fused Aluminum Oxides to attend ceramic, abrasive and refractory industries.
Approximately 20% of this volume is exported to United States of America, Europe, Latin America and Asia.
Following their socioenviromental guidelines, Elfusa supports since 2007, the Curimbaba Foundation, an organization with social and cultural projects.
Elfusa also performs its own investments in security, health, and life quality of its employees and associates.
